Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society (ASL) proudly welcomed 14 new inductees into its esteemed ranks in a ceremony held at ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç (¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç). These accomplished individuals have met the rigorous qualifications set forth by ASL, showcasing their dedication to academic excellence and leadership within the university community.

Founded in 1946 by Dr. Rollin B. Posey, Dean of University College at Northwestern University, Alpha Sigma Lambda has been a beacon of recognition for adult students who excel academically while juggling the demands of their personal and professional lives. The society honors those who maintain high scholastic standards, embodying the ideals of scholarship and leadership.

The 14 inductees distinguished themselves as BA-seeking students in ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç's Accelerated Undergraduate Programs. To qualify for membership, each student had to complete at least 24 units at ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç, and maintain a GPA of 3.2 or above, placing them in the top 20% of their peers.

"As representatives of Alpha Sigma Lambda, we extend a warm welcome to our new members and congratulate them on their remarkable academic achievements," remarked Amanda Bolton, Dean of Students, Graduate and Professional Studies for ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç. "The Greek letters Alpha, Sigma, and Lambda hold special significance for us, symbolizing our commitment to being 'First in Scholarship and Leadership.'"

ASL is dedicated to supporting accelerated undergraduate students, acknowledging their past experiences and sacrifices made in pursuit of higher education. In addition to recognition, the society offers scholarship opportunities and enhances members' resumes, providing tangible benefits for their future endeavors.

The induction into Alpha Sigma Lambda represents not only a recognition of past accomplishments but also a commitment to continued excellence in scholarship and leadership. The society looks forward to the contributions these exceptional individuals will make to their communities and beyond.
