On September 4, 2026, the new Lawrence Ryan Fitness Pavilion officially opened to students and the broader ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç community. The new fitness center sits on the scenic west edge of the track and soccer field.

Made possible by the generous support of dozens of families and the Ryan Family Foundation, the Lawrence Ryan Fitness Pavilion provides athletes and students with dedicated indoor and outdoor workout spaces for exercise, training, and wellness. The pavilion includes approximately 1,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor workout space, including weight-lifting equipment. It also includes 3,400 square-foot multipurpose turf area, a 2,500 square-foot yoga deck, and a 2,300 square-foot outdoor rubber surfaced area.

The Lawrence Ryan Fitness Pavilion provides the Sea Lion’s NCAA Division II athletics programs an intentional fitness space to support the athletes’ performance, while also providing a space for all students to strengthen their health and well-being. With the natural beauty of ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç’s oceanfront campus, the pavilion reflects ¹ú²ú¾çÂ鶹¾ç’s commitment to whole-person development through mental, spiritual, and physical health.
