Social Entrepreneurship Society

The Social Entrepreneurship Society was newly formed this past year by combining two previous FSB student clubs: The Microfinance club and the Enactus club. The Mission of SES is to help students start and grow entrepreneurial ventures that have an intentional social purpose beyond profits. Social entrepreneurs may seek to produce environmentally-friendly products, provide products or services to an underserved community, or focus on philanthropic activities.

The students in the club have helped launch a candle-making business, organized social events that raised significant funds for nonprofits, organized a speaker series (Entrepreneurship Week) that walked students through how to start and fund a new enterprise, and facilitated student tours of local B Corp businesses.
